Australia
Danakali have applied for 1,433km2 of exploration licences across 8 separate projects in the Murchison and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia. The projects cover a range of geological settings prospective for gold, copper, base metals and a range of critical minerals. Of the 23 tenement applications, 10 have been granted to date (634 km2), with further grants expected in the coming months.
The projects cover numerous mineralisation target styles, including orogenic gold-copper, layered intrusion complex (V, Ti, Ni, Co, Au), Broken Hill Type Cu-Zn-Au, pegmatite hosted Li-Ta and carbonatite hosted REE.
Saudi Arabia
Danakali has signed an agreement with Massadir Al-Zamrda for Mining (“Emerald”) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, securing an 80% interest in the establishment of a joint venture company to explore the Kingdom’s diverse resources. This is part of KSA’s push to diversify its economy as part of the kingdom’s “Vision 2030”.
Eritrea
Located southwest of Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, the Ela Gedel exploration license area spans approximately 1,500 square kilometres. The region is considered highly prospective for both gold and copper, with evidence of historical workings dating back to the pre-World War II era, alongside more recent areas of artisanal gold mining activity.
Our application for this highly promising project in Eritrea’s Gash Barka region is well supported by the local government and has formally reached review completion.
